At Agrahara Bhojanam, our story begins in the sacred city of Madurai, in the shadow of the divine Meenakshi Amman Temple. Raised in the serene atmosphere of the agraharam lifestyle, we grew up surrounded by age-old recipes, temple rituals, and the essence of authentic South Indian vegetarian cooking.

In our home, food was never just about filling the stomach – it was about culture, devotion, and care. We watched our grandmother in Madurai’s agraharam patiently roast spices, grind podis on stone, and prepare pickles that carried the aroma of love in every spoon. Those recipes were not written in books; they were whispered in kitchens, taught through hands, and preserved through generations.
